On saturday we're going to play at the releaseparty for Youthhood with Klaas Kravallgrind and Surrealistisk Orgasm/Livsmedelsverket. I'm certainly looking forward to it but i think our material has to be better than the cutting edge. I have difficulties with the pace in the first calm part and Victor also. I rely on him and he rely on me. It's hard, sometimes i really think that i have no sense for beats. I'm starting to mastering the midi-system and i've managed to bring some good noise from the speakers. I'm also learning notes, before I started playing with Deviniance in December last year I didn't even know where to put my fingers on a simple C or a F. I really like this band and this life playing with friends and creating strong and interesting music. I really hope in the future that we can reach out for a bigger audience and create music that people can relate to and get their thoughts into deeper meanings.
I opened the door to the rehearsalroom, made a cup of tea and started my pc, plugged it into the soundmixer. Sometimes I really want to throw my Itunes into the ocean with shackles that makes it impossible to knock on my door ever again. But fortunately it started, A.Armada is a amazing band, former Maserati I've been told. Later I took my friends systemcamera and photographed for my schoolproject. I've to document a community, for example a thing people have in common to each other. And in this case, my band. A few minutes later almost everybody in the band arrived. David, Victor and Rikard but not Torkel. Unfortunately this day, it was St.Patricksday and Torkel likes beer. And those days are meant to be drinking beer. I really like beer to but Torkel.. I can't describe it. Maybe a half'n hour later he arrived and on his head a big green St.Patricksday hat! He's silly but i like him, that small little dwarf kind of beared man. (Sometimes you could been mistaken him for Gimli in the books and films The Lord Of The Fellowship, kind of funny.)
We started with the intro Curriculum Vitae, which is only electronic. And faded over to Cease And Heal which is (what i think) our strongest and hardest songs, i like the ending. After that we played through two old songs called Persecutory Perfidy and Whether Its Done, Vultures. Then it was time for the song i got problems with the beginning, it's called A Slow Decay. It's a calm song that builds up a chaos. Like a climax, a calm surface and then suddenly transforming into a raging storm. After the chaos build-up song we played Allegory. Allegory is our best song for the moment, it contains very musical parts and a feeling that I can't describe. I'm not so psyched for saturday but I will wait and see. I think it's going to work out fine. Bye
